BIO:

Antonio Ienco, co-founder of the Vaughan International Film Festival (VFF), has dedicated over 15 years to advancing arts and culture in Vaughan and beyond. A proud Vaughan native with a deep passion for filmmaking, Antonio began his career as an actor before transitioning into writing, directing, and producing, including his work on projects such as the feature film "The Invaders: Genesis".

Since 2013, his leadership has transformed VFF into a globally recognized platform, showcasing over 1,300 films from 63 countries to more than 40,000 attendees. Antonio’s success is rooted in his commitment to building sustainable partnerships, forging strong alliances with local champions like Canada’s Wonderland, Tourism Vaughan, and the McMichael Canadian Art Collection, while fostering long-term collaborations with industry leaders such as Sony Pictures and Netflix.

Dedicated to the future of filmmaking, Antonio supports emerging talent through scholarships, bursaries and numerous donations of film equipment to Ontario high schools. His vision for sustainable growth continues to shape Vaughan’s cultural landscape and inspire future generations.
